At Fun with Fido Dog Training, I have the knowledge and expertise to tackle any problem you are experiencing with your dog. I only use evidence-based training techniques that are designed to eliminate any unwanted behavior, shape good behavior, and motivate your dog to respond on command. My training programs will help your dog build confidence while promoting a strong lifelong bond with the whole family.
I understand that there are many dog trainers out there that charge astronomical fees for training packages and programs that just don’t work. I won’t try to sell you gimmicky training programs that are based on quantity. My approach is simple. I give my clients value by providing effective dog training at reasonable rates. Clients never pay for training sessions that they don’t use. After your dog has completed a customized training program with me, I will follow up. Your experience and feedback are important to me, so checking in with clients is an essential part of my training process. Puppy Training Course
$300 Includes three seventy-minute private in-home sessions for puppies 10 weeks to 16 weeks of age.
This course goes beyond just the basic fundamentals of general obedience training. Designed with the whole family in mind my puppy training course is presented in a clear, and family friendly format.
Enjoy this informative and fun course in the convenience of your own home. My training course includes three in-home seventy- minute training sessions. Once a week for three weeks, pet owners will learn what and what not to do when interacting with their puppy. Full of practical information with hands on instruction, this course will provide the essential foundation for you to create a forever bond with your puppy.
My puppy training course addresses a variety of issues that pet owners will encounter when caring for a new puppy, such as:
- Nurturing a good temperament
- Veterinary care & vaccines
- Training tools and application
- Basic Treat Obedience Including: Come, sit, loose-leash walking, and down
- Puppy Corrections (Stop biting, digging, jumping, etc.)
- Health & well-being
- Crate Training/ HouseBreaking
- Socialization Tips
- Environmental Hazards
- Puppy Enrichment
Customized Dog Training
$110 per session. My customized one on one training program will eliminate the frustration that comes with owning an untrained dog. Learn how to work your dog through the 3 D’s: Distance, Distraction, and Duration.
My customized and sustainable dog training is designed to eliminate any unwanted behavior. By understanding how environmental influences affect your dog’s behavior you will learn how to work your dog through all high-level distractions. Learn to be an effective leader by simply setting boundaries, marking behavior, and providing structure in your dog’s daily routine.
My customized training sessions address a variety of issues, such as:
- Housebreaking
- Leash pulling
- Aggression/Reactivity
- Anxiety
- Ignoring commands
- Excessive barking
- Jumping on people
- Destructive behaviors
- Crate Training
- Socialization/Public access training
- Resource guarding
- Counter surfing
- Remote collar application
*Dogs with a history of aggression including biting of any kind are encouraged to sign up for my Intensive one on one training training course. I will make my recommendation during the consultation. Rates will apply

My name is Carla Dorpinghaus, owner and trainer of Fun with Fido Dog Training. I am a dog lover and passionate about the work I do with dogs and their owners. I have an extensive background in applied behavioral modification which has allowed me to achieve a high skill set in all the nuances of dog training. I enjoy working with all breeds of all ages with any type of behavior. When I am not training dogs, I enjoy spending time with my family and my two favorite canine companions, Ellie Mea and Gus. I am very excited to get you on a pathway to creating a successful dog training experience and and teaching you to teach your dog to be best they can be.
